Drawing on her female perspective and keen insight,  Yi Man leverages her academic background in law and journalism, along with her practical experience as a contributor to renowned magazines, using the pen as a blade to continually expand the boundaries between social reality and personal expression. Her creative work is grounded in an open stance, advocating for the respect of humanistic values, attention to individual differences, resistance to segregation and prejudice, and the breaking of norms and conventions.In 2022, she directed the short film "ATTACK," which reflects the realities of pandemic prevention in China. The film alludes to social realities and calls for attention to the livelihood struggles of ordinary people during the pandemic.In 2023, as the screenwriter and lead actress of the short film "FLOATING ROOT," she focused on the experiences of displacement caused by specific historical periods, addressed issues related to sexual minorities, and examined the intensifying national and ethnic conflicts in recent years, as well as the growing polarization of public thought. The film received two awards, including at the Luleå International Film Festival, and was nominated for five awards, such as the Los Angeles Film Award.In 2024, as the screenwriter and executive director of the short film "MAKE DICK GREAT AGAIN," she employed absurd and humorous comedic forms to directly confront human nature, reflect on the current social reality where “everyone is being disciplined and scrutinized,” satirize superpowers, and call for human awakening.
