Liyi Liu holds a bachelor's degree from Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University. As a sound director, production sound mixer, and re-recording mixer based in Guangdong, his notable sound design works have received recognition including the Best Live-Action Short Film award at the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival's Golden Goblet Awards. His works have also been selected for competition in the 9th West Cinema·Spring Light Main Competition Section, shortlisted in the "Crouching Dragon·Short Films" section of the 9th Pingyao International Film Festival, nominated for the VITA SHORTS Discover Short Film Discovery Award, advanced to the finals of the Cannes International Film Festival's "Remember the Future" section, included in multiple films at the 15th Macau International Movie Festival, received an Honorable Mention at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival, progressed to the semi-finals of the Rhode Island International Film Festival, and were selected for the 17th Xie Jin Cup, among other achievements.
