Gao Yuan
Born in Xining, Qinghai in 1981, he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Qinghai Normal University in 2001. He is engaged in the creation and curation of contemporary art, and his art- works involve a variety of media, including per- formance, conceptual, video, etc. In 2016, he founded a non-profit Contemporary art space in Xining called "Xining Contemporary".
His works have exhibited in the Power Sation of Art(PSA)musuem, Museum Of Contemporary Art of Yinchuan, Ming Contemporary Art Museum( McaM), Art Museum of the Nanjing University of Arts (AMUNA) , OCAT Art Museum, Sichuan Uni- versity Art Museum, Hungarian National Museum of Fine Arts, and other institutions.Selected for FIRST International Film Festival, NOWNESS short film awards. Worked as a producer for the 2017 FIRST International Film Festival's "Bella Tarr Directing Camp" and was selected as a young director for the 2018 FIRST International Film Festival's "Tsai Ming-liang Directing Camp".
