Director‘s Statement:
When I was shooting in Guangzhou, a friend invited me to his house. Just like what’s shown in the film, his old bedroom is separated horizontally into two rooms. There’s only one AC in the house, so to share the AC, a hole is punched, connecting the two rooms. The hole, I think, instantly made boring house romantic and intimate. The sound, the breath, and the presence of the person living in the higher room would flow, with the cold air, down to the lower room, and sensed by the other. This short film was thus made within 20 hours of time.
