In recent years, the film world is witnessing a rise of women creators. They bring not only brilliance, but also the perspectives, mindsets, and sensibilities unique to women, gradually filling in the gender gap which has plagued the history of art since its infancy. While all of this is just getting started, it has already given us a view of the relentless voices and progresses of women in our time.
LAST Film Editing Residency is the first ever female-led, editing-centered art residency in China. The following are some of the works produced in 2020.

About LAST COMMUNE
Last Commune wishes to construct in this world a comppasionate space, a heterotopian collective. It is by spirit a shared virtual space, which also has mobile physical sites. Members come from different occupations and professional backgrounds, but share the same vision for a communal life: nonprofit and synergetic, they periodically share and exchange regarding their creative processes and lives. At Last Commune, all memebers bring each other reciprocal support and assistance on equal grounds. This enables each individual's abilities and potentials to develop maximally through the collective, and interpersonal connections to flourish through sharing and exchanging. Using the power of collaborative spirit to inspire creativity, we naturally bring a distinctive energy to our mission and practice.
We are closely connected to film and art, but will far surpass just that.
